AI-Powered Uptime & Root-Cause Monitoring Platform
From "the site is down" to "here's why" — automated root-cause explanations across an 80+ site portfolio
"Downtime alerts that come with a plain-English explanation of what actually went wrong."
3 months — sprint-based delivery, deployed directly to the client's own infrastructure.
Knowing a site is down isn't the same as knowing why.
The client managed a mixed portfolio of WordPress, custom, and LMS sites with no monitoring in place. Even basic uptime alerts only tell you something is wrong — someone still has to dig through server logs to find out what.
- No automated detection across a mixed CMS/custom/LMS portfolio
- Diagnosing an outage meant manually digging through PHP and Apache logs
- No standardized way to explain incidents across dozens of site types
"We built a self-hosted monitoring platform that not only detects downtime automatically, but pulls the HTTP status code, PHP error logs, and Apache logs from the moment of failure and feeds them to the OpenAI API to generate a plain-English explanation of what happened — delivered straight to the admin."
Everything under this engagement.
Automated Health Checks
- HTTP status checks on a 5-minute interval across 80+ sites
- Handles a mixed stack — WordPress, custom applications, and LMS platforms
AI Root-Cause Diagnosis
- Pulls HTTP status, PHP logs, and Apache logs at the moment of failure
- OpenAI API generates a plain-English explanation of the likely cause
- Sent directly to site admins alongside the alert
Self-Hosted & Client-Owned
- Deployed on the client's own server
- Full platform license — client runs it independently

The technology driving this solution.
Our approach
We built automated health checks running every 5 minutes across the full site portfolio, then layered an AI diagnosis step on top: at the moment of failure, the platform pulls HTTP status, PHP, and Apache logs and sends them to the OpenAI API to generate a plain-English root-cause explanation alongside the alert.
The result
The client now gets a diagnosis, not just an alert, cutting the manual log-digging that used to follow every outage — running fully self-hosted and fully owned on their own infrastructure.
